Masters Photos- Philipe Halsman

Philipe Halsman was born in Riga, Latvia may 2 1906. He became an American portrait photographer after moving to New York in the early 1940's. He was accused of murdering his father in 1922, he was pardoned and released in 1930. Halsman went on to take photos of many well known people including Albert Einstein, and former U.S. President John F. Kennedy. Along his journey of becoming one of the greatest photographers he achieved plenty magazine covers and published a couple of books. He was a fan of making his clients jump during pictures because, when a person jumps the mask falls off and the real person appears. He gave the name jumpology to the photos in which people were jumping.

My group was inspired by Philipe Halsman because of the great technique he used when taking pictures, which is "jumpology."

Group Photos Adv photo

I used color pencil in this photo of me because it was one of the filters that stood out alot.

I used thermal in this picture because it looked different with the way it caught the computers and people behind me
I used this filter to use as a describing factor of how my day was going.

I used sepia in this picture because i thought it looked really good for our poses
I used mirror on this image to see the otherside of ourselves and how we look

Reflection - The Individual In A Group

As a group member i am a great teamate. My strengths are communicating and getting along very well with my group mates. I can improve my patience. I have learned from others that teamwork is the best work. My problem solving skills are great as i am a great listener and i dont mind letting other people talk and express themselves. I will learn from something someone in my group says to me before i would argue with them. The members in my group are Dante Gutierrez, Mayra Garcia, Roelyne Reyes, and Brittany Brown.

Composition in Music

First Post light is bright

Me and my group of bright, joyful, and lively people went into the hall way and stood under the light. The light brought out more qualities that could not be seen before. That includes things like hair being more shiny, smiles brighter, and even brought out the colors of clothing more. It was a nice experience to look at things how i never looked at them before.
